UNISIG

UNISIG — WordPress Theme

Creating a WordPress Page

1. To get started adding a new page to your WordPress site, find the Pages menu in the WordPress Dashboard Navigation menu. Click Add new.

2. Add the title of the page, like About us. Note: If you have pretty permalinks set up, the title of your page will also be the URL slug.

3. Next, add some content in your editor.

4. The Publish section of the page editor is exactly the same as for writing posts. When you're ready to publish, you can either publish immediately, save this as a draft, or schedule the page to be published later.

5. The Page Attributes section applies a parent page and template to your new page. For the Parent section, you can arrange your pages into hierarchies. For example, you could create this new page with additional pages under it. There are no limits to how many levels you can add.

6. The UNISIG WordPress theme uses custom page templates: Template 1 (Full-Width), Template 2 (Left Sidebar), Template 3 (Left & Right Sidebar), Template 4 (Left & Right Sidebar for Contact) and Template 5 (Full-Width for Downloads).

7. Preview the page one last time, then click Publish.

Edit page using Visual Composer

Documentation for WPBakery Visual Composer can be found at vc.wpbakery.com.

IMPORTANT: The original documentation differs from the theme's extended version in some cases. However you may still use it for reference in advanced cases.

How it works:

To begin adding content using the Visual Composer editor, select the 'Add Element' button. Begin by adding a 'Row.' A row provides column options and additional settings for more control over content layout. To add content elements, click the plus symbol and select 'Text Block.' Save changes.

Rows
Rows are used to divide your page into logic blocks with columns to hold your content elements. Rows can be divided into column layouts (eg. 1/2 + 1/2, 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3, and custom). Your page can have unlimited number of rows. To change a row's position, click and drag the row's drag handler (top left arrows in the row's corner) to reposition it (vertical axis).

Columns
Columns are part of the row and they hold your content elements inside them. Columns can be reordered at any time. To change a column's position, click and drag the column's drag handler to reposition it (horizontal axis). You can group elements in logical groups and then drag them around.

Content Elements
This is a list of available content elements that can be placed on the working canvas or inside of the columns. Think of them as bricks — with those bricks you are building your layout. Each content element has additional options and can be edited by clicking the pencil icon. To save changes, click the save button.
